Story Details
Batiaghata Union is one of the seven unions of Batiaghata Upazila. It is located in the upazila headquarters. There is a health complex in this upazila which has been providing health services in some way for a long time. People living next to the health complex are constantly receiving health care. But the neglected people of remote villages are being deprived of health services. Besides, no one knows what services they can get from the health centers. The CSG members of Batiaghata Union planned to make a community score card here considering some of the difficulties and neglected people related to the services of the Upazila Health Complex. CSG members made community score cards as planned and hung a public planning board outside the upazila. As well as CSG members raise issues in their backyard meetings. At present patients have started coming to the upazila from far away, now the disadvantaged people are coming to the upazila to get health services, not only health services, they are also able to perform diagnostic tests at low cost.
At present it is seen that the helpless poor people of the area are no longer going to see a private doctor. Coming to the Upazila Hospital, they are not only getting the facility to see MBBS doctors free of cost, but they are also getting free medical services, which is ensuring their health care in a beautiful way.
